Oak’s form draws on the well defined existing scale and rhythm of Berwick Village. Masonry was used extensively in the street interface, providing a sense of permanence and solidity. Brick detailing in conjunction with contemporary steel fenestration, and canopy elements elevate the traditional proportions of the facade. The variance in tone gives a sense of separation to the residential entry, without interrupting the cohesive architectural form.
