About this Project
Drawing on Papua New Guinea's climate and craftsmanship, the design employs indigenous materials and techniques to prioritise sustainability, while an open-air atrium, cascading greenery and shaded communal spaces foster passive cooling and social connection. Locally sourced materials such as woven bamboo blinds and timber integrate the building into its natural surroundings, promoting low-impact construction and reinforcing sustainable, culturally resonant design practices.
